Trainer fined $8000 over positive sample

Trainer Simon Wilde been fined and Hello My Dear disqualified after the mare returned a positive sample to ibuprofen after a win at Edenope.

Warrnambool trainer Simon Wilde has been fined $8000 after one of his horses returned a positive sample to ibuprofen.

Hello My Dear returned the sample to the nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory after winning a country race at Edenhope in June.

Wilde pleaded guilty before the RAD Board on Wednesday to a charge of taking Hello My Dear to race at Edenhope with a prohibited substance in it's system.

Hello My Dear has been disqualified from the win.
