US actor John Travolta was overwhelmed when he found out that fans plan to celebrate his 60th birthday by hosting a special movie event in Los Angeles.
The Pulp Fiction star reached the milestone on Tuesday and fans in LA will mark the occasion by holding a massive movie singalong screening of his classic musical Grease, co-starring Australian Olivia Newton-John, at the Million Dollar Theatre in Los Angeles.
Travolta described the tribute as "sweet" and has told BBC Radio 2 that he regrets not being there for the special screening.
"I just learned today that they are celebrating my birthday in Los Angeles by doing a big screening of the singalong of Grease and I'm just touched by that. It's going to be very bittersweet that I can't be there, but there's also hundreds of people that want to do that - I thought that was really sweet," Travolta said.
