Treasury losing its key tax man

Treasury is about to lose one of its key tax experts, and before the Turnbull government finalises a package of changes.

Head of revenue group Rob Heferen has been with the department for 16 years and is leaving to join the Department of Industry.

It is not clear whether the package will be released with budget on May 10 or beforehand separately.
