Tributes for baby girl killed in NSW fire

A GoFundMe page has raised $1000 for a young mother whose baby daughter was killed in a unit fire in Queanbeyan.

Friends are raising money for a young mother whose one-year-old daughter was killed in a fire that destroyed their Queanbeyan apartment.

Tameka Perceval, 22, was in the Queanbeyan East unit with her daughter and three-year-old son when the blaze broke out on Monday afternoon.

Mother and son were rescued from the fire and taken to Canberra Hospital, both in a stable condition.

The body of the baby girl, believed to be named Amelia, was reportedly found after firefighters extinguished the blaze.

Family friend Teigan O'Brien paid tribute on social media.

"I am in shock and am so sorry for this loss to the O'Brien Percival (sic) family and my thoughts are with them all at this time!," she wrote on Facebook.

"RIP little one and i hope tameka and her little boy will be physically okay."

A GoFundMe page has raised $1000 for Ms Perceval and her son.

"Fly free little princess! I hope this helps a bit cousin and little man!," Kayla Daley said.

Jessica Chiciak said, "Rest in peace sweet angel thinking of you Tameka and family stay strong lots of love."
