NSW have called Matt Moylan, Tyson Frizell and Ryan James in as injury cover ahead of next Wednesday's State of Origin opener.
The trio were summoned to join the Blues team camp in Coffs Harbour after missing out on selection.
Moylan had been a contender for the fullback spot while forwards Frizell and James were overlooked for bench spots.
However NSW coach Laurie Daley said he saw them as players of the future and wanted to give them experience in the NSW team environment.
"They are great young men and should get plenty from the experience, even if they're not required to pull on the NSW Blues jersey for this match," Daley said.
