Three young men have been charged over a suspicious fire that caused $10 million worth of the damage at a historic western Sydney school earlier this year.
NSW Police have been searching for the arsonists since May following the deliberately lit fire in the two-storey heritage building at the old Parramatta Public School.
Detectives arrested a 20-year-old and two 19-year-olds from surrounding Parramatta suburbs on Tuesday morning.
In June police released CCTV footage of several men filmed walking near the school on Little and Charles Streets around the time of the fire.
The three men, who have been granted strict conditional bail, have each been charged with destroying property in company with fire and unlawfully entering a premises.
They will appear in Parramatta local court on September 12.
Police will address media on Wednesday over the investigation.
The blaze is likely to delay the 2019 completion date for the state's first high-rise high school and multi-storey primary school on the site.
The heritage building was part of the $220 million Arthur Phillip High School and Parramatta Public School project. It was not in use at the time, and no one was injured.
