About 100 truck drivers have marched through Sydney's CBD accusing supermarket giant Coles of driving their workers to death.

The Transport Workers Union said Coles was pressuring drivers to meet unrealistic delivery times.

"I've been to 52 truckers' funerals. I don't want to go to another one," John Waltis, a truck driver of 44 years, told the spirited crowd on Thursday.

The TWU says Coles's transport cuts are forcing truckies to skip breaks and drive beyond legal limits.

The union says an audit of the Coles supply chain had revealed more than 126 breaches of heavy-vehicle safety laws.

The supermarket chain has dismissed the claims as "malicious and completely false".

"Coles takes the safety of drivers and other road users very seriously," said a company spokesperson in a statement on Thursday.
