The banter has started ahead of a red-letter NRL match for Roger Tuivasa-Sheck.
A headline signing for the Warriors, the star fullback will face his former club, the Sydney Roosters, for the first time on Sunday.
Tuivasa-Sheck says there's been a bit of friendly chat with some ex-teammates.
"I've just been talking with Dylan Napa, just saying if I don't step him, he won't hit me, so that's our deal there," he said.
"We're always supporting each other, but at game time, out of respect, we're just going to go hard out and play 100 per cent."
Tuivasa-Sheck says he's excited at getting to meet the Roosters as early as round five.
But he's also aiming to block out who the opponents are when kick-off comes around in Gosford.
"I'll look across the field and see a lot of my friends and the other boys that I learnt off and got my success through," he said.
"But I'm with a new team now and I'm proud I'm a Warrior, and I'll go over there and put on my best performance for my new club."
Tuivasa-Sheck's departure has left a hole at the Roosters, minor premiers for the third successive season last year, but who are bottom of the table with an 0-4 record.
In 2015, the 22-year-old 11-Test Kiwi broke the NRL record for metres run in a season with more then 5000m.
He has reached 200m or more in each of the first four rounds of 2016 for a competition-leading total of 854m.
"I wasn't too happy with the way I started off the season, but I'm getting there," he said.
"Our combos are coming together. I'm just happy to see that some of our stuff works. If we keep at it, we can improve more."
