One of the final pieces of Sydney Roosters' recruitment and retention puzzle - representative winger Daniel Tupou - wants to recommit to the NRL club.
Last week the Roosters moved to shore up their star-laden roster with the signatures of props Jared Waerea-Hargreaves and Dylan Napa to the end of the 2017 season.
Aidan Guerra decided his future late last year, signing on with the Eastern Suburbs-based club, also until the end of 2017.
NSW playmaker James Maloney and international wingers Tupou and Shaun Kenny-Dowall are yet to determine their futures beyond this season.
The cases for Tupou and Kenny-Dowall are all the more crucial with Wigan winger Joe Burgess headed to Bondi next year.
"I'm keen to stay at the Roosters, that's all I have really thought about," Tupou told AAP.
"The negotiations haven't started yet but they soon will and I hope that something can be sorted out.
"It's not something that is playing on my mind at the moment, I just want to play good football and the rest will sort itself out.
"As the year goes on it might (trouble me) so I would like to get it sorted as soon as I can."
Tupou said he would like to keep Maloney around too, so the duo and Michael Jennings could continue their threatening left-edge combination.
"That combination is really something we have worked hard on and something we really enjoy and I would like to see him (Maloney) stay," the NSW and Australia representative said.
"I'm happy for the other guys who have re-signed and hopefully that can be good news for us soon too."
