Turnbull briefs MPs before question time

The prime minister has delivered a pep talk to MPs before parliament heads into a four-week break.

Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has delivered a pep talk to coalition MPs ahead of a four-week parliamentary break.

Mr Turnbull summoned MPs to the meeting in Parliament House just before question time on Thursday, which will be the last until October 16.

A Liberal MP described the prime minister's pep talk as "a good one".
