A television journalist who reported extensively on Sydney siege gunman Man Haron Monis will give evidence at the inquest into the tragedy.
Seven Network reporter David Richardson will testify at the inquest, which is examining Monis's background and hearing from people who dealt with him in the years before the December 2014 siege.
Also due to give evidence on Tuesday will be Seven Network's security manager and four lawyers who had dealings with Monis.
Later this week the inquest will consider an application from the NSW Director of Public Prosecutions to stop the hearing from considering the issue of how Monis came to be on bail at the time of the siege.
Monis was on bail relating to 43 serious sexual assault charges and a charge of accessory to murder at the time he took 18 people hostage in the Lindt cafe in central Sydney.
