Marcus Stanford is accused of pawning off the property of teacher Stephanie Scott in a bid to help his twin brother, who is charged with her murder.

Dressed in a hoodie and glancing briefly at the public gallery, Marcus, 24, appeared in Sydney's Central Local Court on Thursday afternoon after being extradited from his home state of South Australia.

He did not apply for bail or speak during his brief appearance with the case adjourned to Wagga Wagga Local Court next week.

The flower farm labourer has been charged with being an accessory after the fact to Ms Scott's alleged murder in April in the NSW Riverina town of Leeton.

Between April 8 and April 31, police allege Marcus assisted his twin brother, Vincent Stanford, who is charged with sexually assaulting and killing Ms Scott.

Police will allege Vincent sent property belonging to Ms Scott in the mail to his brother in SA after Ms Scott's death.

It will also be alleged Marcus assisted his brother and disposed of the teacher's property by pawning it.

Marcus, who was born in Tasmania but spent most of his childhood in Holland with Vincent, was arrested at his Forreston home on Wednesday morning.

He flew into Sydney on Thursday and was whisked away with detectives in a car waiting on the tarmac.

It is understood Marcus has agreed to be formally interviewed by detectives investigating Ms Scott's alleged murder.

The English and drama teacher died six days before she was meant to marry fiance Aaron Leeson-Woolley in a country wedding near her home town.

Vincent, a school cleaner, was arrested on April 8, after police found a camera with pictures of a burned body and blood allegedly in his ute at his Leeton home.

He had moved to the property with his mother, Anika, and older brother, Luke, about 13 months earlier.

Two days after Vincent's arrest, Ms Scott's burned body was found in scrub at Cocoparra National Park, more than 70km from Leeton.

Vincent is due to appear in Griffith Local Court in September.
