Twitter reacts to England Ashes defeat

Twitter users have been quick to respond to England's defeat in the second Ashes Test at Lord's.

ENGLAND'S DEFEAT IN THE SECOND ASHES TEST SETS TWITTER ALIGHT:

- "Well.....that was a flogging Not only were England beaten by 405 runs, they only took 10 wickets to Australia's 20. Big concerns for England" - former Australia quick Glenn McGrath appears to revel in England's humiliation on Breathe Sport.

- "Hate to say it but that performance this week was as good as I can remember... Discipline,Power,Skill and intimidating #Aussie #1-1#Ashes" - former England captain Michael Vaughan is full of praise for Australia.

- "Hats off to the Aussies for a magnificent turnaround. Incredible display to get life out of that pitch today" - ex- England spinner Graeme Swann is impressed by the tourists' attack.

- "My prediction is still on track England 3-1 , well played @CricketAus going to be a great series ! Anyone writing off England or wanting changes please don't bother tweeting me ! I don't do fickle , thank you !" - 2005 Ashes hero Andrew Flintoff is keeping the faith.

- "That everyone needs to calm down! It's 1-1!" - Kevin Pietersen retains a sense of perspective after being asked his thoughts by a Twitter user.

- "All out in 37 overs. Hang your heads in shame, England. #lords #ashes #debacle" - Piers Morgan pulls no punches in his assessment.
