Two suspects have been arrested by French police for alleged involvement in a foiled terrorist plot to attack Christian churches in the Paris suburb of Villejuif.
The arrests - which occurred early Sunday in Limay and Mantes-la-Jalie, two towns to the west of Paris - are on charges of involvement in a terrorist organisation, French broadcasters BFM-TV and iTele reported.
The news comes two weeks after the main suspect in the plot to attack Christian churches in Villejuif was detained.
He is accused of masterminding the planned attacks, which police said had been imminent. He is also implicated in the murder of a woman.
France is ramping up its security and counter-terrorism operations in the wake of January attacks on Charlie Hebdo magazine, in which 17 people were killed.
