Two cars have been destroyed by deliberate fires in Sydney overnight.

Two cars have been gutted by deliberately lit fires in Sydney's south overnight.

A Lexus sedan and a white van were both torched at Connells Point in the city's south at about 1.30am on Saturday morning.

Nearby homes were evacuated but nobody was inside the vehicles and there are no reported injuries.
