Two men are dead after a motorcycle and car collided on Sydney's lower North shore.

The 76-year-old car driver died at the scene shortly after the crash on Centennial Avenue before 1am on Saturday.

Police say a 26-year-old man was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital but later died.

The Seven Network has obtained CCTV footage it says shows the crash.

The grainy footage shows a car spinning around as it is hit on the driver's side by a motorcycle.
