Two people have been hurt after a hot air balloon carrying at least nine people came down in a hard landing at Logan, south of Brisbane.

The balloon landed in a paddock near Cedar Grove just before 7am (AEST), a Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman told AAP.

A woman has a broken knee, ankle and finger and a man is suffering from back pain. The pair, both in their 30s, have been taken to the Logan Hospital.

Seven other people were assessed by paramedics at the scene and made their own way to the Logan hospital for further assessment.
