Two Jaguares cited after Super loss

The Sharks have edged the Jaguares 25-22 in the Super Rugby clash in Argentina.

Two citings, including a biting allegation, rubbed salt into the wounds for Super Rugby newcomers the Jaguares after losing in a thriller to the Sharks.

Back-rower Leonardo Senatore is facing a lengthy ban if found guilty of biting Sharks counterpart Keegan Daniel on the arm in a ruck.

And captain Agustin Creevy could join him on the sideline after being charged with a dangerous tackle for an incident which forced Sharks hardman Jean Deysel from Velez Sarsfield on a stretcher.

The citing commissioner said he believed both incidents met the red card threshold for foul play.

The Jaguares (2-8) were desperate to claim only their third win in their first season and scored three tries to the Sharks' one.

But Sharks five-eighth Pat Lambie slotted his sixth penalty in the last minute to claim a 25-22 victory in Buenos Aires.

The Jaguares, who had tries from Tomas Lavanini, Martin Landajo and Santiago Botta and seven points from Nicolas Sanchez, had touchdowns by Matias Orlando and Emiliano Boffelli disallowed and were held up over the line on numerous occasions.

The home side, however, lacked discipline in their own half, allowing Lambie kick the Sharks to victory.

The Sharks remain second in the South Africa two conference while the Jaguares picked up a point for losing by seven points or less to remain third behind the Durban side.
