Two men glassed at Vic pubs

Police are appealing for public assistance after two separate glassing attacks in St Kilda in Melbourne.

Two men have serious facial injuries after being glassed in separate incidents at Melbourne pubs.

A 41-year-old St Kilda man was struck to the face with a glass after a row with another patron at a St Kilda licensed premises on Sunday night.

Witnesses have told police that a second man then approached the victim and kicked him.

The victim was taken to The Alfred hospital with serious facial injuries.

It follows another violent attack involving a glassing a week earlier, on Sunday February 2, at another St Kilda venue.

A 30-year-old Albert Park man was knocked unconscious at The Esplanade bar by an unknown man wielding a glass.

The victim had previously been speaking to a woman at the main bar at 1.30am (AEDT) just before he was attacked.

He suffered serious facial injuries was treated at The Alfred hospital.

Investigators have released CCTV images of men present at the St Kilda venues on both occasions who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.
