Two divers have been airlifted to safety off their overturned boat off a Melbourne beach.

Two divers have been winched to safety after their boat capsized off a Melbourne beach.

The pair had to scramble on to the hull of their overturned boat off St Andrews beach on Sunday afternoon.

A rescue helicopter winched the two men to safety and they were taken to nearby Rosebud Hospital.
