The coalition faces the loss of two ministers when WA voters cast their ballots but both Attorney-General Christian Porter and Aged Care Minister Ken Wyatt say they're quietly confident of defying the odds.
Labor has long been bullish about picking up Mr Porter's seat of Pearce and the seat of Hasluck, which has been held by Mr Wyatt since 2010.
But opinion polls now suggest both could go down to the wire.
Mr Porter holds Pearce with just a three per cent margin and when he cast his ballot on Saturday he said the campaign had been "very challenging".
Despite being targeted by activist group Get Up, he believed he had run a classic marginal seat contest.
Mr Wyatt's margin in Hasluck is even slimmer at 2.1 per cent, making it the government's most marginal in WA.
But he too told reporters on Saturday he was hopeful of a good result.
"Each time I've said I'd leave it in the hands of people. If they believe I've served them well, they'll return me to the role," he said.
"But I'm quietly confident."
In other WA seats, Labor is optimistic of snatching Swan from Steve Irons, who is up against Hannah Beazley, the daughter of former ALP leader and current state Governor Kim Beazley.
It could also take Stirling where former human services minister Michael Keenan is retiring.
As well as Mr Keenan, this election marks the departure of the wildly popular Julie Bishop, but with a 20 per cent margin, her former seat of Curtin remains rock solid for the Liberals.
