Weather has continued to play havoc with the Fiji Pro and organisers have called off the weekend action.
The decision to suspend competition was taken early on Saturday morning due to the fading and inconsistent surf on offer.
Officials will reconvene at 7am on Monday to make the next call.
"We've got very strong wind here this morning," said World Surf League deputy commissioner Renato Hickel said.
"We've also got small surf and very poor conditions here at Cloudbreak so the competition is off for today and tomorrow. The good news is that there's swell on the way for Monday and Tuesday so we'll be back on Monday morning to take a look."
The third round, when it does resume, features some big match-ups.
They don't come much bigger for Australian rookie Connor O'Leary, who faces 11-time world champion Kelly Slater, while Mick Fanning will be first in the water when he takes on Michel Bourez of French Polynesia.
Joel Parkinson, Bede Durbidge, Stuart Kennedy and defending world champion John John Florence will also be in action.
