Two more planes headed to cyclone zone

Foreign Minister Julie Bishop hopes to visit Vanuatu in coming weeks after the Pacific island country was smashed by Cyclone Pam.

Two more Australian military planes loaded with much-needed humanitarian supplies and personnel are on their way to cyclone-devastated Vanuatu.

At the same time Foreign Minister Julie Bishop has denied foreign aid to Vanuatu has been cut in the past year.

Australia gives more than $60 million to the Pacific nation.

Ms Bishop says she hopes to visit Vanuatu in coming weeks.
