Two prisoners escape work camp

Two low-security prisoners have walked out of Barkly Work Camp in Central Australia and police are on the hunt.

Police are searching for two prisoners who walked out of the unfenced Barkly Work Camp last night.

Six prisoners went missing from the low security camp, just outside of Tennant Creek in Central Australia, around 9pm, but four have since returned.

Prisoners Patrick Camphoo and Andrew Secchin are still at large.

Police say they are not considered a threat to the community, but anyone with information on their whereabouts should call police on 131 444, or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
