U2 to perform live at Oscar ceremony

Bono and his band U2 will perform their song Ordinary Love live for the first time at the Oscars next month.

Irish rock band U2 will perform their Oscar-nominated song live for the first time during the Oscar Awards ceremony on March 2.

Lead singer Bono, 53, and the rest of the band will perform Ordinary Love, written for the movie Mandela: Long walk to Freedom.

The song is nominated in the best original song category.

It will be the first time U2 performs the song live, the Academy says on its website.

The three other Oscar-nominated songs are Happy from Despicable Me 2, Let It Go from Frozen and The Moon Song from Her.

U2 won a Golden Globe for Ordinary Love in January.
