UAE rider Molano removed from Giro for 'unusual physiological results'

ORBETELLO, Italy (Reuters - Colombian Juan Sebastian Molano was withdrawn from the Giro d’Italia by his Team UAE on Tuesday after internal tests gave “unusual physiological results”.

Team UAE said in a statement that Molano would be provisionally suspended to “undergo further testing in collaboration with the International Cycling Union”.

Tuesday’s fourth stage is a 235-kilometre ride to Frascati.
