UK league player banned for evading test

A UK rugby league player has been suspended for 15 months for avoiding an out-of-competition drug test.

A London rugby league player has become the first British athlete to be banned for evading a drug test.

UK Anti-Doping said on Tuesday that Sebastian Kolasa, who made just one substitute appearance for London Skolars in 2013, avoided an out-of-competition test conducted at his club last August.

He has been suspended for 15 months following an appeal hearing.

The UK Anti-Doping agency said the case marks UK's first anti-doping rule violation for evasion.
