UK police rush to 'axe attack' mix-up

Four amateur movie-makers creating a zombie film using fake blood, have spurred an emergency response from police in England.

British police called to reports of a bloody axe attack in progress have been confronted with a bunch of young movie-makers shooting a zombie film.

North Yorkshire Police said the mix-up happened in Harrogate today.

It was revealed on Twitter this afternoon, with controllers posting: "999 call reporting an axe attack in #Harrogate. Several officers at scene. Turns out 4 youths making a zombie film using fake blood."

The revelation was greeted with predicable puns from other Twitter users.

Seeing the funny side, the control room team responded by Tweeting: "It could have had #Grave consequences though! Glad it was a call with good intent."
