The UN says Greece has improved its treatment of asylum seekers - but could do more.

The United Nations refugee agency says more needs to be done to improve the situation for asylum seekers in Greece.

Over the past year, Greece has seen a dramatic increase in refugee and migrant arrivals by sea, with around 43,000 people arriving across the Mediterranean.

The UNHCR has renewed its 2008 advice to other European Union nations not to return asylum-seekers to Greece.

Spokesman William Spindler is speaking to Zara Zaher.
