Travellers are facing another day of cancelled flights in and out of Bali as volcanic ash cloud continues to play havoc with holiday plans.

Denpasar Airport was closed for a period of time on Saturday, affecting all airlines flying in and out of the Indonesian island.

Jetstar had expected to resume flights into Denpasar from Saturday afternoon before it was forced to cancel all flights.

It has also cancelled six of its scheduled Sunday flights.

"It's an ongoing one at the moment, unfortunately," Jetstar spokesman Phil Boeyen told AAP.

"I cancelled our family holiday (to Bali) the other week."

Virgin Australia cancelled all its Saturday flights before deciding to cancel its Sunday flights upon further advice from the Volcanic Ash Advisory Centre.

Mt Raung volcano has played havoc with flights since it began spewing corrosive, silica-based ash in early July.
