Unmoved budget bills to cost $75b by 2025

The independent Parliamentary Budget Office estimates unlegislated government measures would amount to $75 billion by 2025/26.

Unlegislated measures could cost the federal budget almost $75 billion over the next 10 years, the independent Parliamentary Budget Office has assessed.

Half the measures surround the government's higher education reforms which were included in its first two budgets.

Other unlegislated measures include changes to the Family Tax Benefit, announced in May.
