Urban Indigenous families help out first year AFL players

Leaving country for the first time and trying to make it in the big leagues can be a daunting prospect for young Indigenous AFL rookies.

But the AFL is hoping to make that transition a little less so.

They're being matched with Indigenous families in Sydney and Melbourne in a host family program, designed to help first year players maintain a connection to culture.
