A US unmanned aircraft has fired two missiles at a vehicle in Pakistan's restive South
Waziristan tribal district, killing at least three people.

Saturday's strike was the second drone attack in less than 72 hours targeting suspected militants in the Sheen Warsak area,
located close to the district's main town of Wana, said senior administration official Shahid Ali.

Another official said al-Qaeda operative Abdul Rehman al-Zaman Yemeni was among the dead. It is hard to verify the information
independently because media have limited access to the region bordering Afghanistan.

A similar drone attack on a house on Thursday had killed two people, including al-Qaeda-linked militant Sheikh Abdul Bari.

Pakistan has continuously opposed the United States' drone campaign, saying it violates its sovereignty and antagonises the
local population, which hurts Islamabad's own efforts to fight insurgency.
