The Islamist group's leader Abubakar Shekau has admitted in a recorded video to abducting the 276 students, many aged 16 to 18, from a boarding school.
Shekau also declared he's ready to sell the girls at market and that they are being kept as slaves.
The comments have stoked international outrage and six US senators have now introduced a resolution calling for action.
