Ute drags ATM from SA pub

South Australian police believe thieves chained a pub's ATM to a ute and dragged it off overnight.

A black V8 ute has been spotted dragging an ATM away from a pub south of Adelaide.

Police were called to the Mount Compass Tavern, on the Fleurieu Peninsula, in the early hours of Wednesday after an alarm was activated.

After hearing from witnesses, police believe two men broke into the pub, chained the ATM to the ute and drove off.
