Van Dyk signs on again for Pulse

Central Pulse have signed former Silver Ferns shooter Irene van Dyk and young defender Jess Bourke for next year's trans-Tasman netball league.

Recently retired Silver Ferns shooter Irene van Dyk has signed on for another season of trans-Tasman netball with the Central Pulse.

Van Dyk, who amassed 289 caps for South Africa and New Zealand in a 20-year career, retired from international netball in June.

After spending 10 years at Waikato-Bay of Plenty Magic, van Dyk shifted south to the Pulse for the 2014 season, in which the Wellington-based franchise finished sixth overall.

The Robyn Broughton-coached Pulse has also signed 21-year-old former Northern Mystics player Jess Bourke, who will join established defenders Katrina Grant, Te Huinga Reo Selby-Rickit and England's Ama Agbeze.

Mid-courters Elias Shadrock and Whitney Souness have also confirmed for the Pulse, as has former Queensland Firebirds shooter Ameliaranne Wells for the 2015 ANZ Championship.
