Vance Joy announces solo shows

Vance Joy, who topped the Triple J Hottest 100 last month, will perform several capital city shows in between his regional Groovin The Moo performances.

Riptide from Joy's debut EP God Loves When You're Dancing topped the Triple J Hottest 100 last month, nudging out Lorde's Royals by around 1000 votes.

Joy, whose real name is James Keogh, will join acts such as The Jezabels and Architecture in Helsinki at Groovin The Moo shows across regional Australia during April and May.

He has announced a string of capital city shows beginning in Adelaide in April.

Joy also plans this year to travel to the US, where he hopes to finish his debut album.

He has a contract with Atlantic Records that could see him produce up to five albums with the American music label.

May 16 - The Metro, Sydney

April 26 - Maitland Showground, NSW

April 27, University of Canberra, ACT

May 3 - Prince Of Wales Showground, Bendigo, Victoria

May 4 - Murray Sports Complex, Townsville Cricket Grounds, Queensland

May 10 - Hay Park, Bunbury, Western Australia
