Coco Vandeweghe of the United States has won her first top-level title on Saturday, beating China's Jie Zheng 6-2 6-4 at the WTA-ATP grasscourt event in the Netherlands.

The 22-year-old American entered the Wimbledon warm-up tournament as a qualifier and was playing in just her second final.

Zheng, a grasscourt specialist who reached the final four at Wimbledon in 2008, was unable to find an answer to her opponent's powerful serve.

Vandeweghe served eight aces and won her first-service points 27 out of 28 times. She broke Zheng in the third and fifth games of the first set, and again in the third game of the second. The match was over in 70 minutes.

Later on Saturday, 2009 champion Benjamin Becker of Germany plays third-seeded Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut in the men's final.
