Giant winger Manu Vatuvei is back and raring to go after an enforced spell on the sidelines.
Vatuvei will line up for the Warriors in their NRL clash against Newcastle in Auckland on Sunday, three weeks after his last appearance.
A sternum injury meant he missed the 17-13 golden-point win over Parramatta before the club's bye last weekend and he says the rest has had a positive effect.
"The break came at the right time," he said on Thursday.
"I'm feeling really fresh and hopefully I can play even better."
Vatuvei proved his fitness by coming through a contact session that involved two front-rowers.
"The last test was running in front of two big boys, Charlie Gubb and Ben Matulino," he said.
"That was a good test. If I can handle that, then everything is all good."
Vatuvei, 29, is in his 12th campaign with the Warriors and has become the leading New Zealand try-scorer in NRL history with 142.
He needs just three more tries this year to complete the unprecedented feat of reaching double figures in 10 successive seasons.
His return coincides with that of another of the Warriors' big names, fullback Sam Tompkins, who has been out with a knee complaint since round three in March.
Vatuvei said the England international's presence would lift the team.
"He brings a lot of confidence to the boys, especially to the halves," he said.
The Knights won the opening-round match between the sides, keeping the Warriors scoreless in the second half as they came from behind to pull off a 24-14 victory.
Vatuvei said there were lessons the Warriors could take from that loss, but he also believed they had improved since then.
