Vic allrounder Christian fined for dissent

Cricket Australia has fined Victorian allrounder Dan Christian half of his match fee, about $1000, for showing dissent during a domestic one-day cup match.

Victorian allrounder Dan Christian, who recently featured in Australia's Twenty20 side, has been fined for dissent in the domestic one-day cup elimination final.

Christian was reported while bowling during Thursday's knockout clash between Victoria and South Australia in Hobart.

Match Referee Steve Bernard docked Christian half of his match fee, about $1000, for "showing serious dissent at an umpire's decision during a match".

The 34-year-old, who returned for Victoria after contesting the T20 series in India, admitted the offence and accepted the punishment.
