Vic driver nearly six times limit

A Melbourne man returned an alcohol reading of almost six times the legal limit after he crashed into two parked cars.

A driver who crashed into two parked cars in Melbourne has blown almost six times the legal alcohol limit.

The 53-year-old from Newport had his licence suspended after returning a reading of 0.281 on Sunday afternoon.

Police were called to the scene after a car crashed into two parked cars about 4.40pm (AEDT).

The driver told police he had only consumed two drinks.

He is expected to be charged with drink-driving and traffic offences.
