Vic grassfire brought under control

Firefighters have controlled a medium-sized grassfire that was threatening the Victorian community of Ricketts Marsh.

A grassfire threatening the Victorian community of Ricketts Marsh has been brought under control.

An emergency warning issued on Wednesday afternoon has been downgraded to a watch and act message.

The CFA says the medium-sized, 250-hectare grassfire is currently under control but people in the area, west of Geelong, have been warned that leaving now is still the safest option in case conditions change.
