Hells Angels sergeant at arms Peter "Skitzo" Hewat will face court again next week on weapons and drugs charges stemming from Victorian police raids on outlaw motorcycle gangs.

The 17 charges against Hewat will be heard in the Melbourne Magistrates Court on October 18 after the 58-year-old made no application for bail during a brief hearing on Friday.

Hewat, a tow truck operator and Hells Angels East County office bearer, was denied bail in an out-of-sessions court hearing on Thursday night.

The charges stem from a police raid on his Mickleham property and his towing business in Craigieburn, which was part of a statewide crackdown on the outlaw bikie gangs.

Hewat has been charged with two counts of possessing a drug of dependence, namely anabolic steroids, four charges of handling stolen goods, one of theft of a motor vehicle and two charges of possessing a prohibited weapon.

He also faces five charges of possessing the proceeds of crime which include $47,000 in cash and a charge of possessing nine rounds of ammunition.

He is accused of threatening to inflict serious injury on a detective during the raid and using threatening language in a public place.

Hewat did not appear in court during Friday's short hearing.
