A Melbourne man has admitted his role in burning the body of a murdered father of five whose charred remains were found in the boot of a torched car.
Ante Bacak, 45, of Kealba, on Friday pleaded guilty to being an accessory to the murder of Kenan Balikel, 42, at Diggers Rest on October 31 last year.
A 42-year-old Keilor Downs man charged with the murder of Mr Balikel, a used car salesman, also appeared in the Melbourne Magistrates court, where his matter was adjourned.
Police have alleged Bacak helped dispose of Mr Balikel's body after another man killed him.
They say he helped torch Mr Balikel's car at Diggers Rest while the man's corpse lay inside the boot.
Following the hearing, Bacak's lawyer raised concerns about men believed to have been taking photographs of Bacak in court.
Bacak had his bail extended ahead of a directions hearing in the Victorian Supreme Court next week.
His co-accused was remanded in custody.
