Vic man charged with $4.9m fraud

Police have charged a Melbourne man with 69 fraud offences, allegedly totalling $4.9 million.

A Melbourne man has been charged with fraud offences totalling almost $5 million.

The 60-year-old Mordialloc man has been charged with 69 offences, including theft and deceptions, police said on Thursday.

The fraud allegedly totals $4.9 million with the offences committed between 1990 and 2009 in the Emerald and Monbulk areas, police said.

The man has been bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates Court on March 11.
