A former tennis player will plead guilty to betting on tournament matches, a Melbourne court has heard.
Matthew Charles Fox, 27, of Brighton, is charged with two counts of using corrupt conduct information to place bets on matches in Traralgon and Toowoomba in 2013.
Fox, a former tennis player, appeared briefly in the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Thursday where he indicated he would enter a plea of guilty on December 8.
The tennis matches Fox placed bets on were played at the ITF Challenger Tournament in October 2013 and the Toowoomba Futures Tournament in September 2013, according to court documents.
His lawyer told the court that amendments would have to be made to the charge sheets before the next appearance.
Fox is also charged with trafficking cocaine and possessing cocaine and cannabis.
