Vic pair charged after cops find 18 guns

Two men have been charged after police seized 18 guns in Melbourne.

Two men are due to appear in court after police seized 18 guns in Melbourne, as well as cash and ice.

A Deer Park man, 45, and a 32-year-old Glen Waverly man will appear before the Melbourne Magistrates' Court on Monday charged with drug and firearm offences, and dealing with the proceeds of crime.

The pair were remanded in custody on Sunday during an out-of-sessions hearing.

The pair's vehicle was pulled over by police in Wallan earlier on Sunday, and officers say they found a gun, a silencer, and the drug ice in the car.

Police later found 13 firearms and what is believed to be precursor chemicals during a search of a Springvale factory.

A further four guns and a large amount of cash were also seized from a home in Deer Park.
