Vic thief leaves sorry notes

A Melbourne teen who broke into homes and left a note apologising for stealing computer equipment and gaming consoles has been charged by police.

An apologetic teen thief who left `sorry notes' after breaking into Melbourne homes will face court.

Police have charged the boy with six counts of burglary and theft following a series of alleged burglaries over the past few months in Pakenham.

It is alleged the boy broke into several homes stealing computer equipment and gaming consoles and leaving apology notes at each property saying he would either return the stolen items or pay for them at a later date.

The 16-year-old Pakenham boy has been bailed to appear at a children's court at a later date.
