Vic tradie downs tools after $1M lotto win

A Victorian tradie is eyeing his dream retirement after claiming a near-$1 million TattsLotto windfall.

A Melbourne tradie who was too busy to answer a call informing him of his $1 million lottery win, might be downing tools for good.

The Pakenham man aged in his 50s held one of four division-one winning tickets nationally in the Saturday draw.

Each winner gets $979,483.89.

"For that sort of money, I'm out of here. Jesus - I think I might retire," he said.

"We'll pay off the house and be mortgage free and I'll buy a bigger boat."

The man bought his ticket from Pakenham Central Market Place.

The winning numbers in TattsLotto Saturday draw were 41, 39, 1, 26, 16 and 21, with supplementary numbers of 2 and 6.

Two of the four winners are from Victoria, one is from NSW and the other from the Northern Territory.
