Richmond have stuck by a winning AFL forward line, resisting the urge to draft in Ty Vickery for their do-or-die meeting with Sydney.
Bidding for a ninth straight win that would see the Tigers play finals, Ben Griffiths has kept his place in a Richmond line-up over Vickery, with Dustin Martin for Ben Lennon the only change.
As the Tigers fight for the right to play on into September, those already there have rested their players heavily.
Geelong and North Melbourne will rest five players each while Hawthorn will also bench three.
Richmond will be heartened by a Swans team without several key names and a debutant in ruck.
Sydney have not recalled Josh Kennedy and Ben McGlynn, bringing in Sam Reid and rookie ruckman Sam Naismith for Jeremy Laidler (omitted) and Mike Pyke (illness).
Longmire said Naismith would be tested against the Tigers' Ivan Maric.
"He's 205 centimetres, so he's a young giant, and he's been doing everything we've wanted him to in our reserves, so we've brought him into the team this week," he said.
"He's going to be tested against the Richmond rucks who are in really good form."
Hawthorn premiership captain Luke Hodge (knee soreness) will miss Friday night's match against Collingwood, with Matt Suckling (knee) and Ben Stratton (calf cork) given a week to rest up for finals.
Ryan Schoenmakers, Taylor Duryea and Angus Litherlands have been recalled.
Ahead of their home match with Brisbane, Geelong have made five changes, choosing to "manage" three while losing Shane Kersten (hamstring) and Brad Hartman (adductor) to injury.
Steven Motlop, Allen Christensen and Hamish McIntosh will be rested ahead of their qualifying final next weekend.
Mitch Brown, Josh Walker, Billie Smedts, George Horlin-Smith and Lincoln McCarthy come into the Cats' side.
Brad Scott will protect a number of his North Melbourne side, with Todd Goldstein (soreness), Levi Greenwood (calf), Luke McDonald (back), Lindsay Thomas (knee), Michael Firrito (soreness) all missing.
Mason Wood will debut for the Kangaroos, with Lachlan Hansen and Daniel Wells amongst those returning for the clash with Melbourne.
Matthew Pavlich will play in Subiaco's top-four decider between Fremantle and Port Adelaide, recalled alongside Michael Barlow.
Garrick Ibbotson and Matt de Boer will miss out.
For Port Adelaide, Jarman Impey will replace Cam O'Shea in the side's only change.
Debutants Wood and Naismith will be joined by Corey Gault and Brisbane's Jordon Bourke for their first AFL games.
Collingwood will make Gault their 1200th AFL player as he debuts on Friday night against the Hawks.
There will be last games too, with Daniel Giansiracusa leading a group of players to finish their AFL careers this weekend.
Luke Ball, who announced his retirement earlier on Thursday, will end his career unless the Magpies can upset the Hawks.
Dean Cox could have already played his final game - left out of West Coast's side to play Gold Coast with soreness.
